I’m a software developer (originally from the UK) based in Minnesota. With me are my wonderful wife Nik (short for Nicola) and three awesome kids (Shan, Lili & Chris Jr). We’ve got three crazy cats called Dolly [Parton], Norah [Jones] and Toby [Keith], and three fish (Nemo, Starlet and Bulbasaur)
I’m a self-confessed tech geek. As far as software development goes, I was a very early advocate of .NET (after spending years in the pits of C++, ATL and COM). I still think I made a good platform choice
I’m one of those crazy nerds who likes programming enough for it to be a major hobby as well as an occupation. If I have any free time after work + family + programming, I enjoy kicking ass and “blowing shit up” on Xbox Live. My gamertag is “Bob Strogg USA”. I get pwned a lot, but in a weird way I kinda like that.
Here is some of my past web debris:

Can I get in touch with you via email?

Dude, love your demos. One suggestion, tho. When you link to a demo via an anchor tag, add class=”snap_noshots” to the tag. That keeps Snap from adding a preveiw to it. Keep up the good work!

mcgurk - Thanks for the suggestion
Yeah those snap things bug me too.

Hi, I would like if it is possible to extend an example from my friend Michael from http://silverlight.schwarz-interactive.de/ex04.zip (online version: http://silverlight.schwarz-interactive.de/ex04/). I would like to have something like moving around and when mouse button up it will move a little bit more with the same direction. Thanks, Matthew.

Can you drop me a line?
Thanks,
Cory

Hi,
I can’t seem to find the RSS feed for your blog, neither does IE7. Am I missing something?
Regards,
/CL

Christophe - The feed works ok for me (it’s just a regular WordPress blog)… What happens if you browse directly to http://chriscavanagh.wordpress.com/feed/ ?

I was hoping to touch base with you in regard to a project I have in the Dallas area. It is a short term project with a major jewelry retailer designing and developing a in store kiosk. They are seeking a Silverlight pro to step in and handle the implementation, it should take roughly six to eight weeks. The project is looking to take place after the first of the year. If you are interested please follow up with me asap and if you are not any and all referrals would be greatly appreciated.
