It’s awesome that Silverlight 2 [beta 1] is now with us; the world just became a far cooler place
It can’t all be good of course; sadly my earlier Silverlight 1.1 demos no longer work
Fortunately it took almost no effort to get things moving again. If you’ve got Silverlight 2, you can try the updated demo here (or click the image). There’s also a new “heads will roll” feature for your viewing pleasure. Source code coming soon…
You might notice objects occasionally roll behind each other (BulletX is a 3D physics engine; I’m probably missing a constraint), or you might get kicked to a blank page… They’re my bugs, not Silverlight’s
I’ll update here when they’re fixed.

Hey Shan – Thanks for the comment!
The rolling heads were Mom’s idea

Check out Phun. I’d s*t myself if you had that kind of physics library ported to C# and running in a silverlight app.

Wow, thanks Will!
I’ll look into it; hopefully you’ll be s*ting yourself soon

Nice job, Chris. I like when you hit “Move Platforms” the wheels and heads sometimes go flying.

Hi! I’m new to Silverlight. I need to do 3D stuff, can I use the BulletX to accomplish this?
I need help

Thanks for your time!

fernandojhoel – BulletX is a 3D physics engine designed for use in XNA applications, so it’s great if you want to model fairly realistic interactions between things. However if you’re just wanting basic 3D support I’ve got some of the basic XNA Matrix and Vector classes implemented in Silverlight in my ‘XnaToWpf’ library (it’s used in all the BulletX demos I’ve done).
If you’re wanting an actual 3D engine you could try one called Balder (here: http://weblogs.asp.net/mschwarz/archive/2007/06/13/balder-3d-engine-for-silverlight.aspx), although I don’t think it’s been recently updated…
Hope this helps!
