Cub pack site updated

August 21, 2006 · Leave a Comment

I finally got round to finishing some tweaks to the Pack 99 site.  A few bits were prettied up, but I had to hack up the dynamic menus a bit thanks to Apple Safari.  ASP.NET seems to regard it as a downlevel browser, and the regular asp:Menu control doesn’t handle that very well.  Even adding proper browser caps didn’t help (grr).

Never a quitter, I’ll probably take a closer look when I’ve more time…

Paint.NET

If you’re not already using Paint.NET, go get it!  It does just about everything Paint Shop Pro can (at least everything the average geek wants).  It’s rock solid and gets frequent fixes and updates (not too many; I open it once every month or so, and there’s often an update waiting to auto-install).  It’s cool!

Cub Scouts ASP.NET 2 site

August 1, 2006 · Leave a Comment

I built a small site for our local Cub Scout pack using as much inbuilt ASP.NET 2 goodness I could grab.  Still needs some polish, but it’s using all the standard membership and sitemap providers.  It also dynamically generates a Google sitemap from the web.sitemap.

You can take a look over at http://www.cubpack99.com/Pack99.
